1. Overview
ILFORD industrial radiographic films are available in three types: Y4, Y5, and Y7. They feature high sensitivity, high contrast, high definition, and fine image granularity. They can be used directly or in conjunction with lead intensifying screens for exposure to X-rays or γ-rays. They are suitable for non-destructive testing in fields such as electronic components, composite materials, casting and welding, shipbuilding, national defense and nuclear industry, and aerospace.

Films should be unpacked, loaded, and processed in a darkroom. The safety light should be a dark red safety light, at least 1.2 meters away. Films should be stored in a cool, dry place. The optimum storage conditions are a temperature of 10℃~23℃ and a relative humidity of 30%~65%. Strictly avoid storing in high-temperature, humid, radioactive, or chemically gaseous environments. They should not be stored in the same room as processing chemicals and should be used within their expiration date.
7. Film Shelf Life
The shelf life of films stored under compliant conditions is 30 months.
